Grow RPG
More games to play
Grow RPG is a turn based puzzle where you build a small kingdom by dropping objects onto a green globe, one per turn. The order you choose shapes the story and decides whether your world can fight off an evil demon. It is free to play in the browser, with no download and no account, so it works on a school or work network where browser games are allowed, plus phones and Chromebooks.
What Grow RPG is about
This is a puzzle in role playing clothing, made by Eyezmaze in 2005. You get a few objects, a tree, a house, some stone, a chest and water, and you place them on the globe across several turns. Each object has a function and feeds into the others. Put a house by trees and you begin collecting wood, which upgrades later structures faster. There is no map to explore and no health to grind, just the question of what to place and when.
Dropping items on the globe
Everything is done with one input, so it is easy to pick up.
| Action | Desktop | Mobile |
|---|---|---|
| Place an object | Drag with left mouse button | Drag with finger |
| Aim the drop | Move to the center of the globe | Touch the center of the globe |
| Take the next turn | Pick another object from the tray | Tap another object from the tray |
What the objects do
Knowing roughly what each piece contributes helps you read the chain before you commit a turn.
| Object | Role |
|---|---|
| Tree | Supplies wood once it can be harvested |
| House | Houses people who work the nearby land |
| Stone | Material for stronger, upgraded buildings |
| Water | Feeds the land so elements develop |
Order, endings and the right path
You can place the objects in any order, but only one sequence wins the game against the demon. Other orders still play out and lead to different endings, which is why it rewards a few replays. You only see the result of a choice after you make it, so part of the puzzle is learning the cause and effect.
Tips for the good ending
A few small habits make the right sequence easier to find.
- Place resource producers before the things that need them.
- A house near trees gets wood flowing early for faster upgrades.
- Watch what changes after each drop, it tells you if the order is working.
- If a run ends badly, swap the turn of whatever you placed last.
